How visual media affects people, Part I


Goal:
For students to develop expression skills through a discussion of a topic that is relevant nowadays.

Objective:
Students will acquire new vocabulary related to the theme and learn to apply it.
Students will express their opinions and points of view about this theme.
Students will answer to several exercises related to the last lesson plans.

Vocabulary: household, media, TV "the small screen", trial, nevertheless, trendy, encountered, dissatisfied, furthermore, channel surf, advertising, grieving, sought (seek)

Howework:

1) You will draft a plan as if you run for the City's Mayor (alcaldía de la ciudad). Your chart will provide solutions for the most common concerns from our city in relation to each these: Security, Investment (Economy), Health, Education, Environment. Make some research in the newspapers, broadcasts, etc. and ask yourself, what are the main concerns of the people? If I was the City's Mayor, how will I plan to solve these problems? These task is our introduction to media campaigns.

2) Students wil have their 8th Quiz
